Summary:
In this review, we take a close look at the most popular ice bath plunges of 2024 from trusted brands to see which ones deliver the best value for your money.
Comfortable ice bath & water chiller (cools to 37°F) featuring 20-micron filtration
Free US shipping, 24-month warranty, risk-free 30-day trial, easy returns
Our Top Pick: Titan Triumph + Titan Chiller ($1,089)
When we first tried the Titan Triumph, we were impressed with its premium construction, comfort-focused design, and powerful cooling system. The drop-stitch build with 4-inch walls feels incredibly sturdy, while the angled backrest offers a more natural plunging position compared to traditional barrel designs.
The bundle includes the Titan Chiller, which cools water to 37°F and features a best-in-class 20-micron filter for cleaner water over time.
Titan also offers the Bravo tub as a standalone option starting at $99 — perfect if you want to start with ice or upgrade later. However, we recommend the chiller bundle for ultimate convenience, consistent temperatures, less maintenance, and year-round use. Over time, it saves you time, effort, and money.
This is by far the best value option on the market. Other plunges with similar features are at least 5x the price of this setup. Our experts recommend the Titan Triumph setup for both beginners and seasoned plungers. Even if you have $5,000+ to spend, the huge markup of other competing plunges is generally not justified.
Included: Plunge Tub + Chiller (cools down to 39°F), Cover, Cell Phone Holder
The Plunge delivers a solid ice bath experience with cold, clean water. While it’s a high-quality option, the $5,000+ price point is hard to justify. After testing another ice bath priced around $1,000 that offers similar cooling performance and features (our #1 pick), it’s difficult to see a reason to splurge on this one for essentially the same cold water experience.
Sure, the design is sleek and there are some extra features, but in terms of value for money, there’s little reason to spend five times more for a plunge that doesn’t stand out enough. Ultimately, you get the same clean and cold water as our $999 tested option.
If you have the space and are willing to spend nearly $5,000, The Plunge is an option. It comes with a high-quality tub and effective cooling system, so the water reaches the desired temperature quickly. However, it requires serious space, care, and is challenging to move. Compared to our #1 pick, the high price point is the main drawback — there’s little justification to spend five times more for essentially the same cold water experience.
Included: Ice Barrel + Lid (no chiller)
Highlights: Free US shipping. 24 months warranty. Financing from $89/month. Try it risk free for 30 days. Easy returns
The Ice Barrel has been around for years, so we had to test it. This barrel-shaped ice bath looks appealing, but it falls short in almost every performance metric we compare across ice baths. It lacks insulation, and its black color makes it very difficult to keep cold. We needed a huge amount of ice to reach a real plunge temperature of 50°F.
At $5,200 without a chiller, you’re much better off with a more complete setup. While a chiller is available for purchase separately at $2,500, a full barrel + chiller setup would cost over $7,700, which is not competitive compared to our #1 pick.
If you specifically want a barrel design, this might be your best option. However, it does not include a chiller and is one of the most expensive non-chiller ice baths. You’ll still need to buy ice or a chiller on top of the $5,200 price. Its lack of insulation is disappointing, as the thick plastic does not retain cold water like other options. For nearly the same price, other companies offer a complete tub + chiller setup, which we would recommend if your budget is around $5,000.
Included: Ice Barrel + Lid (no chiller)
Highlights: Free US shipping. 24 months warranty. Financing from $89/month. Try it risk free for 30 days. Easy returns
The Coldture ice tub is a pretty good option; portable, easy to use and nice branding. We did notice that the durability of the tub didn’t quite match the Pod Company and Plunge when testing. It’s also more expensive than its counterparts at over $1,000.
If you are specifically looking for a barrel design, this might be your best option. It does not come with a chiller and is one of the most expensive ice bath without a chiller on the list. Bare in mind you will still need to buy ice or a chiller on top of the listed $1199 price. However, at nearly $1,200, we were disappointed that this option is actually not fully insulated, since it’s just plastic that, while thick, does not insulate the water like some of the other options. The value provided does not justify the extremely high price point in our opinion. For the same price of this barrel, other companies offer the full setup with tub+chiller, which would be our recommendation if your budget is around $1000
Do-it-yourself options, such as chest freezer ice baths

Comfortable Ice Bath & Water Chiller (cools to 37°F) featuring 20-micron filtration
Highlights: Free US shipping, 24-month warranty, financing available, risk-free 30-day trial, easy returns
When we first tried the Titan Triumph, we were impressed with its premium construction, comfort-focused design, and powerful cooling system. The drop-stitch build with 4-inch walls feels incredibly sturdy, while the angled backrest provides a much more natural plunging position compared to traditional barrel designs.
The bundle includes the Titan Chiller, which cools water to 37°F and features a 20-micron filter for cleaner water over time.
Titan also offers the Bravo tub as a standalone option starting at $99 — perfect if you want to start with ice or upgrade later. But we recommend the chiller bundle for ultimate convenience — consistent cold, less maintenance, and year-round use. In the long run, it saves time, effort, and money.
The Titan Chiller keeps your water exactly at the temperature you want, down to 37°F. Continuous flow and 20-micron filtration ensure your water remains clean and fresh, with no need to buy ice.
It’s rated for both indoor and outdoor use, highly energy-efficient, and quiet (similar energy use and noise level as a standard fridge).
After 3 months of daily plunging, we can confidently say that this setup is perfect for most users. It delivers consistently cold and clean water, similar to ice baths costing $4,500+ or more.
The build quality is impressive, and the warranty and satisfaction guarantee hold up well. During testing, our chiller had a minor scratch likely caused in transit, but Titan support immediately sent a replacement — the kind of service every company should offer.
The Titan Triumph + Chiller is our #1 top choice. With a value for money score of 4.9/5 and thousands of happy users, it delivers premium quality, comfort, and consistent cold water at a fraction of the price of luxury competitors. For most people, this is the most practical, high-performance ice bath setup on the market.
